Start Line: Entry-Level Run Club

Are you new to running or looking to get started on your fitness journey? Start Line is Bermondsey Street Runners’ dedicated run club for beginners, designed to help you take those first steps in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Using a similar framework to the well-know Couch-to-5k, we’ll use a mix of walking, walk/run intervals and steady state running to get everyone moving. Every week there will be movement for all levels.

What to Expect:

  • Friendly, Inclusive Atmosphere: Start Line is all about making running accessible to everyone, no matter your experience or fitness level. Whether you’re completely new to running or getting back into it after a break, you’ll find a group of like-minded individuals ready to support and encourage you.

  • Guided Sessions: Each session is led by experienced runners who are passionate about helping beginners. We’ll guide you through warm-ups, easy-paced walks or runs, and cool-downs, making sure you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way.

  • Flexible Pacing: We understand that everyone progresses at their own pace. That’s why our runs are designed to be flexible, allowing you to run at a speed that suits you. Our leaders will be there to offer advice and motivation, ensuring you have a positive and enjoyable experience. There will be walk-only, walk and run and run-only groups to ensure everyone is catered for.

  • Post-Run Socialising: After each run, we’ll hang around for a chat and a drink. It’s a great way to get to know your fellow runners, share experiences, and build friendships within the community.
